That single act of obedience led Jim and his wife, Amy, to found Eyes of Faith, which today remains the world's only Christian eyewear company. Since 2009, they have been proving that business can be a powerful force for advancing God's Kingdom—combining beautiful designer eyewear with Scripture engraved on every frame and a mission that extends far beyond selling glasses.
Today, every "Get an Exam, Give an Exam" purchase helps provide life-changing vision care through the Eyes of Hope Vision Centre in Ghana, restoring sight and hope to thousands of people. With another vision center planned for Nairobi, Kenya, what began as one family's step of faith has become a global Kingdom impact.
Jim also shares the remarkable story of how God led Eyes of Faith to the U.S. Christian Chamber of Commerce. A simple radio advertisement while driving to a meeting became a divine appointment that led to the launch of the Eyes of Faith Vision Plan at the Shepherds Who Care Conference. For years, Jim says they often felt like "the weird ones" in the optical industry. At SWC, they found something they had been searching for all along—a family of Christian business leaders who understood that faith and business belong together.
